We are extremely delighted to inform you that the 42nd Annual Sports and Cultural Festival “Kaliyattam 2012” organized by the Association of Engineers, Kerala will be held at Kannur, the land of Looms and Lores on 30th,31st Dec 2011 & 1st Jan 2012.

History identifies Kannur as “Naura” from the shores of which King Solomon’s ships collected timber to build the great temple of Jerusalem. North Kerala better known as Malabar or the Spice Coast of Kerala was once a favourite destination of Navigators and traders across the world. This beautiful land which is the heart and soul of God’s Own Country, is the cradle of communism and home-ground of Theyyam, Kalaripayattu, Ayurveda and Handloom. This region has also some of Kerala’s most inspiring tourist spots including Muzhappilangad drive-in beach, Payyambalam and Meenkunnu beaches.
